Shenandoah Red Switchgrass is known for its spectacular showy foliage. The grassy green leaves have beautiful red tips. The foliage will eventually turn to burgundy wine color in the fall then to a yellow during the winter. This switch grass is relatively maintenance free although it could benefit from pruning the old foliage in late winter to early spring.
